What is the actual display on the left hand side where the charger is?

Could you elaborate on that one please... Aleks

Hi its a double USB charger for my phone with an LED display showing the battery  shows around 12.8 when ignition is on and around 14 when the engine is running. this was an ebay purchase and have wired it to be live when ignition is on only.

Guessing this is it... eBay Special

Did you hard wire it to the battery or through the ignition switch? Is it a hard job?

I Connected up my USB on the lefthand side to the wiring that was already there for the original 12 volt socket; so therefore it works through and with the ignition switch; as the original 12 v socket did.

I then put and wired up 12 volt socket to the righthand side straight back to the battery.

Headlight unit has to be removed.

Enjoyed USB unit fitted....

(Thought I’d previously posted USB fitment) Headlight has to come out to fit it.

Brilliant! I could go one of them, when riding out to some remote area and want to light a cigar but can't carry a cigar lighter due to weight and space restrictions, or because I Forgot the lighter. Reminds me of when I was young and I used to smoke roll your own cigarettes. I was in some great riding territory north east of Melbourne and didn't have a lighter. I had a BMW R80 G/S at the time and just ran it for a couple of minutes revving it whilst parked to get the exhaust headers warm. Didn't take long to get the smoke lit!

Does it dim in the dark? I could be super annoying at night.

Yes and No.

It is lite-up but my one is not visible when the cover is closed down over the USB slots.

So not annoying at dark / night time.

If it’s the cigarette light that you are asking about then you can just take it out if it ‘dims in the dark’.
