Hello from Catalonia, Spain

Hi

I'm from Catalonia. First of all I want to say sorry, my english level is poor. I'm a Tenere fan, I have had a '15 XT660ZA that I sold It with 96826 km. I sold It because I broke his engine. Three month ago I bought a brand new 2021 T7. I have bought 5 new motorcycles plus other used ones in my whole life. But the service from the official Yamaha dealer where I bought my T7 is the worst deal I have ever made in my life. When I went to pick up the motorcycle they gave me a vehicle delivery certificate stating that all the indicators of the motorcycle, wheels, lights, etc. had been checked. I went to the dealership with my car and a motorcycle trailer. When I got to my house, the motorcycle already had a breakdown, the speedometer and the ABS did not work. The next day I had to go back to the dealer to have the bike repaired. The bike has 4100Km and now the front suspension is noisy. The bike has a three-year warranty, I hope the warranty covers it.

Regards

Welcome aboard @Rekiem.  Nice bike you have there in the snow!  I must say, 96 thousand km on any one bike is pretty impressive.  I hope you get the same on your new T7.  Post lots of pictures and stories of the great area you live in.

Thank you. I hope I had great memories with my new T7 as well. It's a better bike than my old XT660ZA. But a XT660 has a better seat than T7 stock one.

Benvingut @Rekiem! I guess Catalonia is a nice region for riding and adventure bike, close to the Pyrenees.

Best wishes from Germany,

Jan

Welcome and I think you'll love the T7. It's a perfect bike for your roads and tracks.

I've biked twice now on mine on and off road in the Pyrenees and also the Picos de Europa. Great food and great people and riding. Plus I have a soft spot for Barcelona having visited many times!

What did you do?
I have a '09 XT660Z with 108.000km on the odo but it runs great for a single cilinder bike.
Pavlin from Motorcycle adventure (YouTuber) has bought a T7 to follow up his XT660Z with 190.000 on the odo.
Also have a Honda Crosstourer and past the 110.000 with it, before that i crashed my VFR 800VTEC with 115.000 and that was the follow up for a '89 ZXR750 that had also 115.000.
The 660 was just 10.000 on my account but the others i al bought with 20 to 24.000km on it. The bike before that i don't know anymore.

I don't know, engine oil level was ok. I guess the connecting rod bearing broke. At least it broke 50m from my house. I also had problems with the fourth and fifth gear. I enjoyed a lot with my '15 xt660za. It is the bike that I have done the most km.
