Noticed that I tend to drop it on the exhaust side.  8 out 9 times its gone down, its been on that side. Thought is was a bit odd, but since I tend to measure and catalog everything, I was wondering if this is common or just me.

I prefer to drop him down on the bottom side, after a jump drop it right back on the wheels.

It depends on which side you smear the butter.

Or, alternatively, where you glue the cat.

Typically when you spin the wheel on a chain driven motorcycle the ass end will come to meet you from the chain side.  Thus the bike tends to drop on the pipe side in the Tenere's case.  Sometimes that spinning rear wheel will grip the trail or road suddenly and launch you forward where you may not want to go.

It's about wrist control.  Easier said than done.

Right handed, left footed, generally crash right side down. Then again, if I had any control at all, or any say in the matter, I would not crash!

Most embarrassing tip over?

sidestand?

There was a push in the late 80s ,early 90s to make side stands that were idiot prof.

Can’t do it. But you can do a stand that folds up if looked at cross eyed!

Yes Ducati am talk’n bout you!

As I climbed off heading for the rest room ; crash , damn.

…and that red bodywork ain’t cheap!

Husqvarna also had self cancelling side stands. Horizontal parking is fairly common with these bikes.
