Adventure Spec Side Luggage Racks with Reckless 80 ... anyone?

Hi there,

 

Anyone running this setup with any luck? I tried but the width of the racks which are only about an inch wider than the side plastics make the reckless flare out, bend down and I am left losing quite a bit of room to easily get my dry bags in and out. Has anyone tried to "extend" the R80 to make it a little wider?

I have the R40 and R80 (daily use and long trips) but i will make my own mounting point for the back and don't care about the side.
Will ad a little protection on the bottom of the fairing but that's t prevent cracking and not scratching, for that i have a sticker set which also covers the full side but still don't care if it scratches.
