Hi all.

Free time to ride. Today I test a new rear tire. Pirelli Scorpion mt90. Better grip on winter seasson than  tire from factory IMHO. It was fun, I love this bike.

Cheers.

Nice place. What are they like on tarmac?

No complains. Defently are a bit more soft than rally ones. I think that in sumer with hot tarmac they will wear out quickly.

Thanks for posting the pics.  That's a great background for a day ride.  And the temperature looks OK.  Am I right?

Thanks for watch it! The temperature is cold. Max temperature it's about 6°C in midday.  In night about minus ten. This year it's so dry. If the track were weat I don't be able to clim and take this pics. I would need a 100% offroad tires to clim. You can see on pics. The motorcicle it's so clean just a bit of dust because dry weather.

We were at 7 c yesterday and it rained on top of the heap of snow we're dealing with.  No riding here.  Even at 6 c you have to bundle up so the pictures are deceiving.

At 6° C you have to dress properly. I use thermal clothing. I ride at the sunniest hours of the day, when the sun goes down the temperature drops quickly.

Had a cool but dry morning ride out yesterday.

Temperature hovered between 3°-4° but the recent heavy winds had temporarily eased so I was pretty comfy.

I did a wee bit of urban riding to keep me sharp amongst other traffic.

There wasn't ever-so-much of that though...:027:

There's a nice old Victorian fountain in the town square.

On the opposite side of the road, a couple of hundred metres away is Monaghan Court House.

The courthouse is a British Built building and you can still see the British Coat of Arms at the top centre.

Co. Monaghan is land-locked and is the smallest county in the province of Ulster. It is one of three counties in Ulster, together with Donegal and Cavan, which does not form part of Northern Ireland. Monaghan is bordered by the counties of Louth, Meath, Armagh, Tyrone, Fermanagh and Cavan.

Following the 20th-century Irish War of Independence and the signing of the Anglo-Irish Treaty, Monaghan was one of three Ulster counties to join the Irish Free State rather than Northern Ireland

I headed out of Monaghan town past its nice cathedral.

I've never been in the place but I'm told it's a nice example of its kind.

There's a nice fast stretch of road between Monaghan and Castleblayney so you can give yer bike a bit of a blow-the cobwebs-out-blast if you feel the need.

I stopped just before 'Blayney though to photo the Stainless Steel Pig again.

Castleblayney's my nearest town. I live about 20 kilometres away but come under it's wings for postal address purposes.

It's a very small town but once punched well above its weight musically.

Hi

I've been out of forum for a while but I don't stop riding. Thankfully a bit of rain/snow comes to my area. It was a lot of fun but a big challenger for my enduro skills.

Thanks you. Yes is in Catalonia. Lleida region. The first, second and forth pictures are made 15 days ago. The third picture I took It this weekend.

The regulation of circulation with a motorcycle in the mountains is very strict in Catalonia. If we go more than two riders we must ask for permits. You cannot use studded tires or motocros tires. Speed limit 40 km/h. I'm from this area. Otherwise the police (forest guard) will take your motorcycle and with a very expensive fine.

They would take your bike because it's snowing up in the mountains?  I would hope it's not like that all year around.  Where's the freedom in that?

You are right, no freedom for motorcicle riders. We've got a Superb riders like Toni Bou but they need take care where ride. We've got a so stupit politics people. After 2 or 4 years you can get it back if you win at an auction. They steal your motorcycle.

In sumer it's not allow ride with engine vehicle in some places because fires forest.

But we've many places to ride as well like 10 thousen corners Rute.

Hi all.

This weekend trip was a real adventure. In the morning the weather was great but in the afternoon it got worse. I have never ridden in this area. There is no telephone coverage. Before reaching the top it began to snow. Being in the middle of nowhere, without phone coverage and starting to snow I was really worried. I wanted to take several photos of the top but my priority was to get out of the snow storm. I'll come back to this area.
