Swapping engines

Hi

Would there be a problem buying a tenere 700 if the engine had been swapped out for an MT 07 engine. What engine adjustments have been made to use the same engines on different use bikes?

Would there be any problem with the transmission ie the MT07 being constant mesh and the Tenere being wet multiple clutch chain drive?

I don't remember who but someone here had a busted engine so he/she shoehorn a MT07 engine in there and worked...

I would have to search a bit unless someone can chip in.

Edit: found it.

Hello mate. I did the same swap. The engines are were identical or so close I couldn't tell the difference. I think it was an '18 MT07 engine I swapped into my '20 tenere. They are both constant mesh and wet multiple clutch like almost all bike engines.
