Handlebar thread and pitch

Curious if anyone has a definite on the handlebar thread and pitch? I'm currently installing ProTapers, and just want to verify before I purchase a tap tomorrow. I've seen everything from 12mm with 1.25 pitch, to 16mm and 1.5 pitch.

M16 1.5 should be correct

Edit: I just verified it with a tap. Definitely M16 1.5
