Ecu flash

noobie question here.  I am having my ECU flashed for a full system that eliminates the cats on my 2022 T7.   Can I ride the bike with the new flash with stock exhaust while I wait for my new exhaust to arrive? or is this a bad idea and should I wait until I get the new exhaust on to ride it?

thanks

I'd never run a non-catalyst tune on a bike with a cat. You are risking the stoichiometry of the engine. So you can potentially wash the cylinders or lean the cylinders. It's simply not worth the risk.

Im considering flashing mine also but have a 3 year extended warranty and dont want any issues with that. I would love to smooth out the on off throttle response though.

Ya definitely something to consider. It’s a Yamaha shouldn’t have any issues I hope 😃
