3D printed crash bar sliders

Sliders on Outback Motortek crash bars.

I guessed where the bars might hit the ground.  It was on a curved part of the bar so I designed the sliders to accommodate the curve. Used Petg filament.

Nice work! Have you already dropped the bike on purpose in order to see if your design works? 😉

Field testing remains unscheduled. 

 

I did try to verify the touch point by simulating a layover by using a large piece of plywood held at the tires and tilted up to the crash bar while the motorcycle was parked normally.
