I've sold my bike and it looks like I'm going to go withe the Tenere. i went in to my local dealer who said make him an offer and he will chat with his manager. their current list price is £8999

I like the Explorer pack and heated grips £2,015.

What do you think is achievable at this time of year (I'm in England)

Margins on new bikes are  quite small, so that's not where there's a lot of wiggle room. I got a good price for my old bike, got 15% off all accessories (crash bars, heated grips & panniers) and the 1000km check for free.

I asked him to make a the price for just the bike and heated grips, and add the prices for the other accessories for information, as I was thinking about getting aftermarket stuff. He then sent me the proposal with discounts.

Those are the accessories I want as well, Waltert; explorer pack and heated grips. I will try your strategy of getting them to offer deals on the accessories pack.
