Tail light fix for HP corsa hi pipe

Well the pipe blasts out onto the indicator, I knew that would be the case, I was hoping to mod them, move them both down the OEM guard rather than install a tailtidy, many of which don't fix the issue.  Anyone have any ideas/experience doing this?

That thing protruding from the pipe is just a socket to show where the flow is directed. 

 

The last pic is of two spare spacers left over from the install.  The directions were very rudimentary and there were 4 spacers, two Fat and these thinner ones.  Does anyone know what they are for?
