I finally rode Helmet Peak this weekend.  It's been my evening meditation with my other bikes (200exc, WR 250, DR  650), about a 30 mile loop from my house. I was a bit concerned about riding my T700 due to the loose rocky sections. No problem!

The power and low end was great.  

For others in SW Colorado the road is SJNF 322 and goes connects to 566 and 567, The road usually has deadfall in the Spring and is open up by late May/early June.
