Handguards touch the windscreen

After installing my givi tall windscreen I noticed that my handguards touch the windscreen, this is probably because I run bar risers.

Is this a big problem? Do I need to remove the risers or the screen? Will the screen be destroyed if I fall?

@SamiNami Since it's a Givi windscreen and not oem, I'd be in touch with Givi to see if they have any suggestions,  i.e. a different model. Unfortunately not just with the T7, aftermarket parts aren't always compatible with other aftermarket parts.  Some companies,  such as Camel-ADV,  do a pretty good job with listing parts compatibility,  but it's often a crap shoot if one aftermarket part will work with another. Looks like you've found one. 

 

You might try taking the windscreen off, raising it up a few inches and if ii doesn't interfere with the Bark Busters, try one of the windscreen slider adjusters.  Here's one similar to what I've used. Good luck.

agree with the windshield adjuster... just some up enough so you can turn full lock.

So I installed the adjuster and it worked.

I have it in the lowest position, so I only needed a little bit of room to make it work. Not in love with how the adjuster looks so maybe I could just add some kind of spacer instead of the full adjuster:

A cheap fix for spacers is to use MOEN 1/4L Flat Bibb Washer for spacers, that you can pick up at any hardware store.

 

And get yourself some longer M5 Button Head Bolts, that you can get on eBay or Amazon if you can't find any at the hardware store.
