Early on in my ownership I, like so many others, installed a voltmeter with 2- USB ports.  I dont use the USB ports very often and they do have a cover that I always keep closed.  The voltmeter part still works showing correct voltage but both USB sockets no longer output any energy.  These are pretty cheap units, does this happen often? Any thoughts on why the USB sockets quit while the read-out still works?

Ill probably order up a couple of them anticipating then next failure, but I am wondering if Im wasting my time and maybe I'll just go back to the plug.

I'm sure those units are mostly cheap/unreliable - having said that: I purchased one (red) and never installed it, i'm happy with the plug-in solution.

For a few $ and postage you can have mine ( I hate waste, and I know I'm not going to use it)

Let me know, cheers,

Chris

Got one, too - it's still working, but who knows how long? Chinese crap. I hate it, their cheap rubbish floods all markets and thus kills any decent manufacturer who offers quality items.

Blue sea has quality stuff, but no built in bolt meter.
