Front Forks Different Length :(

I replaced the front fork springs with k-tech 6.9N springs and replaced the oil.

 

I thought I was going crazy when trying to align the forks with the axle but they are now different lengths. The right fork is about 9mm (.35 inches) shorter than the left one.

 

Thoughts on what is going on? The other thing I noticed was the right fork makes a sucking sound when actuating (much more so than the left fork) and and it doesn't seem as smooth as the left fork.

 

I've attached pictures of the right and left forks.

OK, nothing to see here. 

 

I didn't properly tighten the top cap onto spring thereby taking the play out. 

 

All good now!
