Skid plate recommendation?

Looking for a skid plate that is compatible with the Yamaha OEM accessory center stand.  Something with easy installation for removal for oil changes when I'm laying on the ground in a parking lot somewhere while on a three month trip to South America.

I'm returning the Camel skid plate.  Installation was difficult as it required loosening up both frame rails, which already have my SW Motech crash bars installed on them.  This would be way too time consuming for removing on the road.  I'm afraid that I might have to go thru that whole process to remove for oil changes each time.

EURO 4 or 5 model?
I have a Euro 4 ('20) and have an Adventure Spec, just 4 bolts to remove it.

I have the CamelADV skid plate and did not have to make any adjustments when I removed it for an oil change.

Sw-Motech!

They use powder-coated rails mounted to the bike, to which then the skid is attached.

This means the bolt alignment between skid and rails is just perfect, I can put in all screws by hand. Even though there are 7 screws in total, dismounting and remounting the skid takes maybe two minutes and ZERO hassle.

No sidestand and link protection, but very sturdy and it reaches very high in the front, protecting the manifold almost completely.

It has "boat shape" design which usually helps deflecting branches, rocks,... to the sides.

Thanks very much for the pics.  I'm really looking for something that protects the linkage too, but is that a Yamaha OEM center stand on the bike?  I'm wondering if the SW Motech is compatible with the Yamaha OEM center stand.

It's a Hepo&Becker, but SW-Motech can definitely tell you if the OEM center stand works with it!

Sorry, I'm confused.  In your post above you said and posted pictures of a SW Motech.

Acerbis skid plate. Has linkage, pegs, and side stand protection. It's made of hard plastic. But if you're not going to jump on logs and huge rocks, it should be enough protection.

Motoes has excellent protection including a linkage guard.

It works with Yamaha center stand. Although i ended up trimming a little for better fit.

The bigger issue was it covered the oil level sight glass, so I used a 1.5” hole saw to open a window.

Otherwise I’m very happy with it, great protection at this price.

$250 on Amazon plus $50 shipping to US.

I trimmed on both sides.

right side so it slipped past Yamaha center stand for easy mount & removal.

Left side where shifter swings down it was really close.

And last I drilled a hole so I could see the oil level sight glass.

see marked with x prior to drilling.
