Hi there,

I'm Thomas, 31 y/o, living in Belgium. Occasionally on the tracks with my Z900, 2017 model. I just got my brand new T7 2022. First time owning a adventure bike, so i have very little experience offroading. Looking forward to change that in 2023!

The bike is original for the moment, except for the crashbars from Yamaha. But i did order a mufler from Dominator exhausts. I'm also thinking of changing the handlebar, because it's so freaking straight. Anny suggestions on that?

Hoi, welkom, welcome!

About the handlebar. Mostly for offroad riding a straight bar is preferred for standing and control. But depends on rider and arm length. I would suggest ride a few hundred kilometers to get used, or not. Or turn it a bit in the clamps.

Welcome Thomas, I agree with @BikeBrother - give it a try, I find it to be a good compromise between road comfort and offroad control.

Best wishes from Germany to Vlaanderen!

Jan
