50.000 km test by Motorrad magazine

The German bike magazine Motorrad did a 50.000 km test with the Tenere700. The 2019 T700 made the kilometers in 2.5 years, using where its made for. Riding to work, day trips, travelling and offroad rides. They kept a log for maintenance, problems, fuel consumption etc. After the 50.000 km they take the engine apart with Yamaha engineers and check/measure all the parts for wear.

Conclusion: just normal wear, some parts even in built-in tolerance, no oil use. They could built the engine back together and keep riding. During the test no major problems.

Motorrad keep a chart of all the 50.000 km test bikes and guess what? Place 1 is Yamaha MT-07 and place 2 is Tenere700.😀

So everybody, my advice is KEEP THIS BIKE.

  • BikeBrother changed the title to 50.000 km test by Motorrad magazine

@BikeBrother just bought it and have also thought about posting it here 😂

Second place only because of lower mpg compared to the MT-07 and one more unplanned service (due to a retroreflector recall for early models 😁).
