Key won't go into lock position?

I purchased a new 2022 Tenere 700 two weeks ago and since then I've noticed that the key won't go into the lock position if the handlebars are turned all the way to the left. It requires me to turn them a little in the opposite direction for the key to switch into lock.

 

Is this normal?
