WOW, that is a lot of coin gone into that! Sounds like that thing is going to be bigger better blast than it already is in stock form! 🙂

What's the expected life on the Conti's? I am considering them as my next set!

Why not get the Rally Raid rear shock too, rather than just the spring? It's a massive transformation and well worth it in my opinion, both off road and on road. I've done both and chosen the correct springs front and rear for my weight. I got mine remapped at Dave Wood Racing on the rolling road, not far from you. Top guys (Father and son) and great job. Open air box (no snorkel) with foam filter, as I off road, and 3D printed lid to hold the filter down. I've also got Titanium Arrow headers. When the box arrived I thought it was empty, they are so light!

Enjoy. It's an amazing base bike to make an absolutely awesome machine. I love mine.

Hi,

Not too far away in Leicestershire near Loughborough.

I'll drop you my phone number by the personal message thing.

I've done plenty to my T7 over the last 3 years. Been to Spain twice on it (Pyrenees and Picos de Europa - off and on road)  and two big tours of Scotland, plus some off roading in the UK too.

Cheers

Rich

@RMMark, did you ever get around to installing the Scorpion headers?  If so, how did you get the Camel link pipe to fit with the header?  I'm pretty sure, the outlet diameter of the y-pipe is larger than OE, which is what Camel designed the link pipe to work with.

@bookwormhands I have the CamelADV high enduro mid pipe and had no issues installing a set of Scorpion headers after removing the bushing that CamelADV supplies to meet up with the stock mid pipe.  I ended up removing the headers and reinstalling the stock headers with cat.  This required reinstalling the bushing.

@Hollybrook, what was the reason you went back to the OE headers?

I like the sound of the bike with the CamelADV muffler without the dB killer installed.  With the headers, I needed it installed to keep the noise to an acceptable level for me, but I lost the sound that I liked.  Since there was not a huge weight difference between the systems, I would need my ECU flashed for the new configuration and there is a minimal power difference except above 9,000 RPM, I decided to remove them.

@Hollybrook, do you have the OD dimension of the Scorpion header outlet where the Camel link pipe clamps to it?  I'm wondering if the noise issue you were experiencing was due to a exhaust gas leak at that interface.  The ID of the Camel pipe is 47.5 mm and depending on what the OD of the Scorpion headers is, it may still need a thin seal (maybe a copper sleeve).

@bookwormhands I did not have any noticeable exhaust leak at that joint. The noise was coming from the exit of the muffler.

While it sounded somewhat louder, it was also a sharper sound, with more high frequency components. I thought it was borderline annoying, like what I would expect at a racetrack with no sound check. With the cat in place, my exhaust is still fairly loud, but more of a thud than a crack.

I live in a nice area for riding, but unfortunately, we have some idiots around here who think it's cool to ride through here with really loud exhausts as fast as they can. Every few years, sometime ends up going to fast and kills themselves. I don't want my neighbors associating me with that tom foolery, so I like to avoid my bikes being really loud.

I guess I should get around to putting the Scorpion headers up for sale...

@bookwormhands I doubt the flash will have any significant affect on the sound. It certainly wasn't noticeable on my bike for the CamelADV muffler and mid-pipe.

@Hollybrook,  I finally received the scorpion headers and attempted to install them today.  Did you have any issues fitting the headers to the bike during install?

I’m experiencing a large misalignment between the connector pipe bracket and the frame mount. It’s about 20 mm rearward and 10mm outboard.  This is with the flange nuts finger tight and the headers completely inserted into the connector pipe (OE gaskets in place).

I would need to put a hell of a lot of force on the system to get the connector pipe mount to align even with the flange nuts completely loose.

@bookwormhands I did not have any significant fitment issues. The alignment was not perfect, but about what I'd expect from aftermarket headers. I left everything loose and tightened from the back forward. The connector bracket was the largest offender.
