Damper rubbing on Tank Bag

winddown

Recommended Posts

Not a real issue, the bagster tank cover I run rubs on the damper, thus.  I thought I might just rub some wax into the bag so it slips over it easily, the only other option I can think of is to have someone cut it out and restitch it.

Anyone ever found the ideal fix for this sort of thing?

Sorry winddown. I've had my bit of fun.

I would look for a good saddler to do a cut out and hem.

If you can't find a saddler in your area maybe a motor trimmer or someone working with canvas could help.

Lol, I'll remove it the day I sell it, and leave a mint tank underneath.  But seriously I think I know a canvas guy, and hopefully it won't cost too much.  I sent an email to Bagster, this is there advice.

it's difficult! We develop tank covers on bikes without accesories like a steering damper. One day the damper will destroy the surface of your cover and there is no way to prevent this...
