Red lithium grease or Lithium Molly?

Any good lithium based EP2 chassis grease will work fine, so go with the red lithium.

I would never use moly grease in an application with roller or needle bearings.  I use moly on sliding surfaces like splines where there is sliding metal to metal contact, but I am sure others will disagree.

Also where the link attaches to the frame you will notice those 2 bearings have a yellow packing between the rollers.  This is called solid grease and you are seeing it more and more on bikes these days, so do not try and remove it or wash it out.  Just clean and reapply some more grease on top of the solid grease.

Good to know, thanks!

Regarding Moly grease, I've once heard it can react with moisture and damage plastics (like bearing seals, I guess).

Lithium grease is also what Yamaha recommends for most parts.
