FITTING TERRAIN COMMAND CONTROLLER

Recommended Posts

Hi guys

Has anyone fitted the TERRAIN COMMAND to their bike, if so how do you fit the Terrain Command to the left handlebar, I want it next to the handlebar grip so want to move the OEM light switch controller box over but the box has a plastic spur that locks into a cut hole in the handle bar, I assume to prevent rotation of the unit.

Do I need to cut another hole in the handle bar for this plastic spur?

Thanks Jimbo72

I got both of mine on the left side, but it required me removing oem controls and putting in some CEV switches.
mig you are not good with electronics and wiring, then don’t bother.
just have one on each side 😬

On my other bikes, I've just snipped off that plastic nub. It lets me rotate the turn signals and horn button to a more comfortable spot, not to mention allowing it to slide elsewhere along the bar.  If you snug the housing screws firmly enough, it's plenty to hold things in place

3 seconds with a Dremel sanding drum will take that nub off cleanly. I did it to fit my Adventure Controller; you can add a couple of wraps of electrical tape under the switch if it's too loose for you..
