Xracing Snorkel Mod

Xracing indicates more power via chopping the inside portion of the snorkel.  I found my bike had better fueling with the snorkel vs no snorkel.  The chopped snorkel does seem to pull better in the mid RPM range I ride.

 

I noticed the flared end was big enough to fit over the lid opening (which increases the opening).  
 

My stock bike did pull better with the larger lid opening.  The bike gets its air from under the seat . . . the flared opening does not act like a ram air system.  
 

IMO, by reversing the flared end it, reduces the air velocity feeding the air box which actually helps the low end fueling.

 

I gorilla taped the flared end for my test.  I will probabky  silicone it to the lid  
 

As an added benefit, Reversing a chopped snorkel allows for moe pre-filter ckearance.
