Dear Yamaha

I wish I didn't have to switch ABS off every time I start the bike.

I wish Yamaha would build a 450 Tenere or a WR450R

Alcohol! No good story starts with a salad.

It’s called a KTM 500.
We’ve been waiting to the elusive WRR450 for over a decade.

They discontinued the WRR for a reason and I don’t think it was emissions. It was an awesome bike in 2008 when it was released and didn’t change yet the euro brands make new awesome stuff every couple of years

I’ve never been brand loyal.
I buy what I think fits my needs best.
For off road oriented bikes the euro brands are hard to beat.
Still one of my favorites

Please. PLEASE Yamaha, this right here.

Australia already has the WR450r. Throw your emission craps own for us to take it off and send it to the States. I'd buy that bike in a  heart beat. The WR250r is the perfect BDR bike, except for that 250 just gets tired doing pavement over 65mpgh and trying to over take a vehicle, especially up a hill. Make it the same bullet proof motor with a bit more HP and I'd give you my VISA.

This. Please.  Or take the 321cc twin from the MT-03 and make a Tenere 300.

We don't have the WR450R. It is a WR450F which comes with just enough to make it road registerable in Australia.

All National Parks and State Forests require registration as a component is 3rd party injury insurance.

The 450F has a rebuild life of around 10000km whereas to WR250R has a rebuild of around 50000km.

The F doesn't have a cush drive or cush clutch so on bitumen it tends to hammer the gearbox a bit too much.

Gear ratios aren't conducive of long distance riding either.

I owned the last 400F and 2 x 450Fs as well as a 250R. The 250R was much more comfortable on longer runs.

Weird. I've watched review on Youtube about the WR450R in Australia. I guess mistaken.

Well then, Yamaha.....please start from scratch.

How hard would it be to override the side stand switch when ABS is turned off?

  • 1 year later...

A Tenere 600, 17o Kg.

Dakar specs, rotopax extra tank, Trailtech LCD instrument with optional mini tower.

isnt it strange that all the manufacturers refused to make a 450/600  odd adventure/rally bike?  i waited for years for a proper ktm690 adventure but there was never any news about it so bought a 660xtz.   i thought the 450 rally kit onto a 690 would have been great.  same with honda - xr600 based adventure bike?  yamaha 450/600 rally style adventure bike?

and then along came the Kove 450 rally bikes.   ive read all 90 odd pages on the adv forum and apart from the iffy fuel injection it seems a very solid package at an amazing price and are selling very well.  maybe now the Japanese an euro manufacturers will sit up and build some?   mmmmm i think ajp ? did but it didn't really catch on did it

I just want the brakes off the 1200 Tenere. Having the front brake lever operate both brakes worked wonderfully.

N000000000!

I wish YAMHA makes a T9 from the TDM engine with 19" optionnal front wheel :

95hp (A2 french compatibility), 20l tank, 220kg max

or at least a 19" front wheel + lower kit for the T7 explore
