So after a long search, i have concluded that the SW Motech Pro tanks, especially the daypack (5-8 litre) is the best out of ring tanks. 
it’s supremely built, marvellously adjustable , spacious enough for personal items day to day or touring, and fits like a glove clearing the steering dampener handlebars and any quadlock bar mounted devices. 
doesn’t interfere when standing! 
 

tried Givi before but it’s stupid and not thought through. 
 

very pleased and highly recommend for on road use. 
 

ill defo take it off and use my kriega r30 for offroad use nevertheless.
