I bought the Yamaha branded topbox and rack holder when I bought my bike, I'm now considering buying the panniers also, though not specifically the Yamaha branded ones. The question I have is, will the panniers fit with the topbox rack as I see the pannier rack that is on the official page doesn't include the topbox rack.

I am in the same situation. I've asked Givi and SW-Motech.

 

No response from Givi. Sw-Motech told that it's not compatible, but maybe fittable...

 

I Think Touratech panniers rack is compatible with OEM Yamaha rack, but it's too expensive and only works with Touratech cases...

 

I will buy probably SW-Motech pannier rack, because it's removable, and i will try to fit with original yamaha topbox rack.

I have bought the rear rack and will use the top box when commuting, otherwise, soft pannier or bags are preferable when on longer trips or in trails. Top box is gone.
