Tubes loosing 5 PSI every trip

Why are my tubes loosing 5 to 10 PSI on both offroad and highway stretches?

Its annoying to fill them up with air so often, is there a solution other than tubeless?

In my last 3 day offroad trip i lost 5 PSI

on the highway for 5 hours i lost 5-10 psi

tubes are new

You’ve got a puncture. Or the valves are stuck open, clogged with Shet. I don’t lose 5 psi in months. Tighten the valves first.  Maybe the tubes were pinched when they were fitted.

Unlikely both tubes have a leak, have you checked them for nails etc?  Try replacing the valves, they are cheap as chips.  And get a set of those metal valve caps that have the little rubber seal at the bottom.  Gives you double protection.

No, it's uncommon to loose that much pressure in just a few days assuming you are measuring cold (or hot) in both instances.  Are they a recognized name brand tube?  Are they natural rubber? If netural rubber those tend to bleed off air a wee bit quicker than synthetic tubes but not at the rate you are loosing air.

10 psi = 0,7 atm or bar

That's a lot of a difference between cold and hot anyway. I get about 5 psi difference between hot and cold with semislick tires when driving fast on track/circuit (car).

10 PSI would be a bunch for sure.   There is something odd going on  one way or another.

Had the same. Was losing 2-3 psi weekly from both. Nipped up the valve cores and still the same pressure after a 1500 mile trip.

I get the same issues with both front and back.

I had the same problem, after my first tire change (new tubes). I did two-thirds at the same time: I added a tube-type sealant, figuring there's no harm anyway, and I replaced the aging gauge on the pump I was using ( this was the culprit for sure). I now use a very accurate Jaco gauge, to be sure.

@thepointchris I "thought" I had the same problem when I put new tires on. After a couple weeks it stopped. I am pretty sure it was just air trapped between the tube and the tire, leaking out slowly.

This makes the most since.

Filled up the tires last week.  Checked them this week and zero air lost.

If you're losing air, something needs fixed - valve stem core, puncture, something is causing air to be lost.
