Hey guys!

I was woundering if the Rapid Bike Evo ECU, holds up against water and dust? I tried to look it up, but doesent say for shure if the ECU can handle it, i suppose it can but would be nice to know 100% it would.

Have a good one!

I had one fitted on my bike - it’s currently up for sale as is my bike. but the various fittings and connections are all dust and watertight fittings to oe standard so I do not see why it would be any less than the oe wiring system regarding dust and waterproofing. Jake.

Can you give us a fair review of the RapidBike system? I'm in the market for a tuning solution and a bit confused on what to choose. Good luck with your sale and thanks in advance.

Rapid bike eco for Yamaha Tenere , it is simple to fit if you have a little electrical and mechanical knowledge. if you take your time the harness fits perfectly to the bike and the wiring system and looks very professional. Mounting the ECU need a bit of inventiveness, i used a plasticard sheet and formed it with heat to make a tray that sits in-between to frame rails underneath the mid area of the seat frame work.  Once fitted the whole system looks factory fitted. The instructions were very well printed and easy to follow. I think routing the wiring is not so well explained and if done carefully it looks like part of the oe system.

The bike fires up and runs perfectly i noticed after about 30 miles of use that the engine felt more torquey and smoother delivery. This seemed to develop slightly and improve over time and by a hundred miles or so the bike ran better than before with better power delivery .  The stock acceleration gains were most noticeable in mid to higher range almost felt as though you were riding one gear lower. I ended up changing to a 16 tooth sprocket as the bike was a bit more punchy. I later added a throttle punks air filter set up which again added a bit more power but did make the bike slightly fluttery at very low revs but overall the riding experience was of a much more sorted bike with more punch than standard even running a 16 tooth front sprocket.

At low to mid revs fuel consumption was a little improved, before fitting the air filter set up, but after fitting that fuel consumption dropped by maybe 30 mile off a full tank if the bike was used at higher speeds, i was getting about 180 to 190 miles from a tank .

Is the system worth it - quality yes - ease of fitting Yes, and if you have an exaust change or filter changes Yes, if you want more poke from the motor Yes.

If you just run the bike as standard then maybe not needed if your happy with its standard power output .

I've got one and the gains ie increase in power/torque per £ spent just doesn't add up for me.  If you add up the cost of header pipe and end can plus filter filter lid then it's hardly worth it. Mine was pretty good as stock but I just fancied buying and playing with bits.  End result is probably better but hard to say for sure.
