Malfunction detected - my ride app

CornholioTNR

Question

Hi guys,

I finally paired my bike with my phone, and now every once in a while i get a notification that says - malfunction detected, contact a dealer asap-.  No CEL light on the dash, bike works ok only has 1300km.

It does not show up on every trip, and if i click the notification nothing happens, i get no further info.

Anyone else has this? I would take it to the dealer but thats a bit far away.

I sometumes get hesitation for a split second when WOT at about 3-4k rpm but, but i gues thats just the sudden use of the acceleration, gas mix not catching up to that much air coming in.

Thanks

Realizing this thread is a year old and the OP hasn't visited the forum since posting, due to recent interest, I went ahead and added some suggestions.  Hopefully @CornholioTNR got his issue resolved and will revisit this thread to let others know what fixed it.

Can't help with diagnosis on the malfunction detection except to suggest you get an OBD reader to see what trouble code ( if any) is being thrown or is your bike diagnostic system wonky. As far as the hesitation at 3-4 K, that might be indicative of a throttle body sync being needed. Assuming your bike is still under warranty,  your dealer should be able to correct both of these issues so up to you what is easier.
