I'm going to bring this up again. I would like to run my tyres as low as 18psi but am afraid of spinning the rear on the rim and ripping out the valve stem.

Anyone come up with something?

Alcohol! No good story starts with a salad.

So, my thoughts are it would depend upon the tire. I ran an E07 with less than 5 psi in it (dumb, don't ask...) on a tight twisty road with plenty of throttle/brake and other than a warm tire after 40kms, nothing. I know that's different to jamming on the brakes for a slide, but pretty unbelievable that it didn't rotate or pop off. When we went to break the bead, we had a hell of a time too. Not sure if that helps you or not.

I think I have Yamaha disease...
