Clutch slip/power drop between 6-7K RPM?

lolocastsb

Question

Hello all, I recently got back from a 2000-mile ride on the road, unfortunately. I noticed a weird problem in 5th or 6th great between 6-7K RPM, where the bike would lose acceleration for a split second but then get it right back, almost like the clutch is slipping. This would happen rarely and in random circumstances (happened in hot weather, morning/night, bike had been running for 10 mins/1+ hour, etc).

I mentioned this to someone on the road and they said it's a known issue on the T7 that can be solved by flashing, but I can't find anything online. Thanks in advance for any assistance.

on clutch slipping you would not only notice loss of power but engine over revving. If that's what you see, id start by adjusting clutch to spec, failing that an oil change,. failing that, change the clutch plates.

thanks. no engine over revving in these circumstances. a better example would be like fuel is being momentarily cut off? it just hits a flat spot where it stops accelerating for half a second.
