Only have 110 miles on the motorpickle thus far (credit that term to co - worker)

When parked, the seat sits so much higher than my crotch that I knew this would be a challenge.  Since I crave a challenge,  I have to figure it out and I grow as a rider because of this.  Why am I not putting a bazillion miles on my bike?  No other (cruiser / sportbike / touring etc. ) riders quite get it.  999 out of 1000 street riders can plant their feet, and heels, firmly on the ground.  Many of us ADV riders can't and it is intimidating at first.

Thanks to Bret Tkacs and Jimmy Lewis and ARiemann1 and McRider and many others,  for help to keep the high horse straight up.  I swapped the factory medium seat for the factory low seat, and learned a few key things when I come to a stop:

- bike straight up

- handlebars straight

- head and eyes up, looking at horizon as a point of reference

- the ground is there, just have to reach for it a little bit

Am slowly but surely gaining confidence with the bike, pushing my comfort zone in baby steps.  When in motion, absolutely love this thing and can't wait to practice off road conditions such as:

- sand

- gravel

- ups

- downs

- having to stop on uneven terrain

Thankful to all who inspire and teach.  The only limitation is me, and that is ok, I have work to do.  Medicine for the mind.

That's the right spirit!

I'm not small and I have long legs - so for fairness reasons, I've switched to the Rally seat (+40 mm) and Tractive suspension (+25 mm). Now I can't flatfoot it completely on both sides as well.
