Keep in mind the US and Canada do not show prices with taxes or VAT included, let alone the dealer mark-ups many use this side of the world

That depends on the dealer.  I paid MSRP + $100 Yamaha freight adder + $25 temporary tag OTD. No setup, dealer markup, or other additional fees were included.  $10,419 OTD in May 2022 after a four month wait as #2 on their list with no down payment.   I paid state sales tax three months later when the temporary tags expired.

At the same dealer,  a 2023 would be about $10,600 and a 2024 would be about $10,900.

Mine ran me a little under 12k in July of 22. More than I would have liked, but the dealer I got mine from was one of the few who didn't basically laugh at me and tell me good luck finding one to be honest. I was shopping around and most dealers in this area wouldn't even accept a deposit on one because no one could get any in at that time.  Originally put the deposit down on a black one, but they called about 6 months later and said they had a blue one in and I was next in line if I wanted it, so here we are haha. I did get 5 years of warranty though for a pretty good price through them. Freight and setup and stuff was a bit high, but less than anyone else around. I live in SW Pennsylvania, but got it at Morgantown power sports in Morgantown, WV. Other than price, no complaints from me, they were awesome to deal with. Really nice people.
