Throttle body sync gauges

Recommended Posts

Does anyone (preferably in uk) have any tips on a good (or bad) set of gauges for syncing the intakes? Lots of cheap ones available, but useful notes ( tubes lengths, suitable attachments etc) on ones people are are happy or unhappy with would be handy. I’m looking for a set now. Are people using multiple gauges or the Morgan carbtune type?

thanks

@Dougie I've used the Carbtune system for years and it's served me well.  I used it on my 4 cyl FJR multiple times, no issues. Full disclosure,  I haven't yet synced the T7, thanks for the reminder I need to get it done.  😉

Thanks, it looks like a simpler set to use with no fuss. 👍

I prefer using the Motion Pro Syncpro which you calibrate every time you use it.

I also have the Carbtune II, but imagine that the fluid in the columns with the syncpro avoids any stiction possible with the stainless steel rods in the carbune.

I am currently using the Motion Pro for my four cylinder bike and plan to use it on the T700 when it's time to sync. I like that you calibrate it before each use, which leaves me confident it is working correctly.

You can change the sensitivity by replacing the fluid with ones of different viscosities. Mine currently has antifreeze with a drop of food coloring which seems to work well.
