Vibby to the Max!!!

Recommended Posts

I owned my current T7 since Dec 2022...and as of today, a total 18000km had been clocked.

But i have to say this, this bike vibrates like hell. It vibrates real bad when i rode it up to 130km/hr and abv.

I have a corbin seat which is hard as a rock (i am 89kg) and an EVO handlebar with stock clutch n brake levers which vibrates A LOT especially the seat.

Due to where i am, our touring involves riding hard up to Malaysia and Thailand (900km from Singapore and 100% highway)

Just wana know if there r ways to reduce the vibration. It is extremely uncomfortable after 20mins of hard riding. I understand that this is not a road tourer by any means but the vibration is killing and that is one of the main reasons why most Tenere 700 in our region dun travel out of the country.

@Jerrick Welcome to the forum.  Your problem is not a common one as the CP2 motor is one of the smoothest ones out there. There are options such as bar end weights or lead shot " snakes" for the bars, but have you checked the motor mounts for condition and proper torque?  I would start there as I stated, the T7 is one of the smoothest bikes available and my guess is yours has an anomaly that is causing your felt vibration.  Has your vibration issue been since new?  Has your dealer evaluated it yet?  The more information on what's been done to your T7, the better the forum collective might be able to help.

My bike did not vibrate noticeably at all with stock tires, but it now does with Anakee Wilds fittet, at least from 100-130 kph.

Even with stock tires this might occur if these are not balanced perfectly.

Bar ends.  Sounds like you may have too light a set of bar ends.   Did the evo come with it's own ends that you used"

Tenere is a smooth bike. Bad worn unbalanced tyres probably issue.
