Hi ! I am not yet up to speed with the Ténéré 700, I am only in the process of ordering it and I hope to have it delivered in April. I am a GS rider and have been so for many years. The reason I am buying this Ténéré is because I plan the Silk Route road trip for next year and it is definitely a more suitable bike than my heavy GS Adventure (which I keep with me anyway) for such a trip. I am trying to learn from you, dear members from all over the world, what is best for this bike in terms of optional equipment. Thanks a lot for taking me on board ! By the way, I am French, and I have been a biker for 43 years now...

Welcome. Here is the best place to get infos required to make the awesome Tenere just more awesome 😎

Had a GS 1200 too. It was a 2014 model. Perfect for road shredding but to heavy for everything else.

Greetings of a neighbour 🇫🇷🇩🇪

Thanks Martin ! I love my R1250 GS Adventure, which is such a great bike for long journeys such as those I do frequently (France to Greece and back 2 times a year)...Perhaps, this is the best mix: a GS and a Ténéré...🙂
