Big old floods

So storm Babet visited and left a lot of hassle , main roads , side roads , little lane into my village shut , so diverted via a couple of lanes , the water was very very deep in some places , was easier on the lanes than the roads , no cars stuck in the middle of the floods to get round . What a brilliant bike . Phone sitting on rucksack

Wow, last picture looks really deep. Definitly needs some courage to ride into that. Sorry for all the people who suffered losses.

Yikes!  I hit a car jack mowing in long grass once, smashed a big  chunk out of the deck.  You must know those roads VERY well.

Wish I had some of that water.

Not even summer yet and one dam gone 😭

It's going to be a tough season.

That looks like the great divide, from a little west of it.  I rode down the Newell many many years ago, on my way to WA, you could see it off in the distance, it's a long mountain range that's for sure.  Hope you get some rain soon, I'm in SEQ, near the main range and it's dry as a bone but I'm in a small town so have town water and a few green patches on the lawns lol.  Gonna be a nasty summer alright.
