Heavy duty rattles up front when rough.

My first ride on my new Tenere this week. It's all good except a harsh rattle in the front somewhere. Sounds like heavy plastic and not metallic. It happens only on rougher sections like rocks and braking bumps. I can't find anything loose when riding or parked. I've searched here on the forum and don't see any common rattle comments. Anyone run across this? Thanks.

Grab screen at the top and wiggle hard. I found the top framework on mine was moving about too much. Also the side panels and winglets were rubbing causing an odd sound.

Is there play in your steering stem? I had excessive rattling early on in ownership and a loose steering stem bearing was the cause.

Might also be the headlight/dash assembly - most of us run the Anti-bobble head from CamelADV, which stops the excessive shake. Not sure, but I guess this might cause the rattling.

Thanks all. Luckily not the steering bearing, and not the headlight or dash. I did find some movement/ rattle in each side panel. I added some very dense foam behind each one and that took care of nearly all the noise. Overnight the square rubber pad that the factory puts behind the panel, fell out on the floor. IMG_7014.jpg.d16f9f6dc2df011b1d691d36b49dfc6a.jpgIMG_7016.jpg.2c556a5046183fcdcb52ea73c76b4f4d.jpgIMG_7022.jpg.0bc887ce5e778a84e80e695e88423c5f.jpg

Yeah, seem to be a standard thing that they fall off.

I have mine stacked somewhere after I found them on the floor and haven't bothered putting them back since.
