Or spend 5x more money and get 5x more damage protection of the whole area with R&G full side case protection. The thing that would puncture that whole side case area is a rock in reality I'm guessing.

Doesn't look half bad for the price! Aluminium with plastic covers?

Only question I have wether it doesn't extend too much. The more it does, the bigger the chance of actually hitting something.

I'm wondering this solution because that is similar at the sw motech or another brands, this could protect even a road fall, and its not expensive to change... It's only a choice, probably not the best one, who knows...
