Disc lock for rear wheel

Hi all,

 

Do you have any suggestions for a good disc lock for the rear wheel? Initially I was thinking about this one, but it does not look like it's going to fit as the bolt on the lock is too thick.

I bought this one. It's sizable, hefty and pricey, but reasonable pick safe (the lockpickinglawyer has a vid on it) and even with an angle grinder very difficult to remove (there's a good vid on YouTube). The alarm function does add some deterrence and you won't need an ugly reminder cable..

thanks for your suggestion. The link you gave states that the locking bolts are 13.5 mm thick. I measured a gap only of 11mm on my rear brake disc. Am I missing something?

My bad, the lock won't fit into the rear wheel because it collides with the ABS ring..

I have one like that. The battery's been dead for ages now and I just can't get myself to replace it. 9/10 when I removed the lock the alarm went off before I'm able to turn the key. It just draws more attention than I need.

The noise might scare off the amateur thief trying to take your bike. But the guys that do it routinely will just freeze the alarm so it's hardly audible anymore, pick up the bike with 3-4 guys, lift it in a van and worry about getting the lock off later.

I have an Abus but it's more for big trips which don't apply right now.

Is there a mount for 8087?It is really heavy to have it in my back pack.

The unfortunate thing is that the Abus SH 77 mount weighs a ton, so much that I hesitate to use it on the T7.

 

I expect the same would be true for the 8087 if a bracket exists.
