Tickling noise 4000rpm

Good evening from Portugal,

By chance, someone has already changed the decompressor on the exhaust camshaft, due to the tik tik tik that the engine does, mine is quite audible, at idle and close to 4000 rpm, I've already tried installing the manual CAM tensioner, but stayed the same.

Are you sure you are not just hearing the injectors?

Some have complained about ticking on Yamaha engines and came to find out it was just the clicking of the injectors.

I have never heard of anyone ever needing replace or touch the decompression system because of noise or other issues.

Some bikes are just noisy, and Yamaha is one of them.

I remember a while back on the Super Tenere forum someone who had always rode Hondas bought a Super Tenere and was convinced something was wrong with his bike.  Nothing was wrong, the super tenere just sounds like a a bag of rocks some days.

If you don't find something My suggestion is a good set of earplugs and enjoy the ride.

Something doesn't seem right. My motor isn't noisy.

Alcohol! No good story starts with a salad.

Mines noisy. Sometimes. Ticking when warning up. I use Yamalube 10/40 synthetic

From 0kms my T7 has been quite noisy, sort of like timing chain noise but not quite if that makes sense. First service I spoke to the tech about it. He took me out the back and started a MT07 that was there, it was the same, then he showed me his own T7, and it was a fraction noisier. He reckoned some do and some don’t, hasn’t gotten any worse over two years🤷🏻‍♂️
