Preload Adjuster Caps question

Preload adjustment is a nice thing for fine tuning your sag. Nothing more, nothing less.

Instead of said preload adjuster cap you can also use spacers under the normal cap to preload the spring.

But how nice would it be to not have to take your forks apart to make fine tune adjustments?   I just put a whole new suspension in my bike and I am enjoying the process of setting it up without having to take things apart myself.

Rally raid sells front preload spacers that are super cheap. No adjustment ofcourse . Maybe worth trying your new springs first, and then add spacers and see how you feel

Depends what your ride sag is after putting in the springs.  Normally you want 25-30% of the full travel as ride sag so 53-63mm on the Tenere.  If it's more than that with your new springs you'll need to add preload and the adjuster caps will help, or you could just add spacers.  You only need to adjust it once so spacers will probably do.
