Buying Used

Recommended Posts

I'm going to look at a 2022 with 5000 km. Has OEM Yamaha crash bars skid plate centre stand and a lot of other miscellaneous after market accessories. Is there specific areas of the bike I should check to make sure it's all good. I know I'm going to be blinded by the beauty.

Grease the linkage, and replace the OEM crash bar engine bolts as they are too short if you buy it.

Just look for crash damage and how dirty the air filter is, that's about it.

The first thing I look at is the seller himself, how well he keeps his home, work area & his other vehicles.

Bent or dented rims, tweaked handlebars from a crash. That new of a bike should not be any mechanical problems.

Check tank corrosion , you should be able to view around the top bracket nearest to ignition switch without taking it off with a torch , spokes will likely be tarnished but not a big deal.
