Clutch reassembly issue

Recommended Posts

Could do with a little bit of quick help lads.

I took my clutch plates out to soak them and now on refitting it will hardly slip at all.

If I take a pry bar and move the pull lever it's whole travel (no cable involved) I can barely turn the back wheel by hand when it's in gear.

Spins free in neutral.

I've had it apart several times and I'm pretty sure the plates are in correctly, sharp side out, last Friction plate clocked one notch.

Oil and coolant drained down

The lever felt pretty stiff when I first reassembled it

Any help muchly appreciated because I need to use in a few hours and running low on ideas

Cheers Adam

Thanks for the link but I sorted it and went straight out on it.

Turns out the plates were just vacuumed together with too much oil.

Had me scratching my head for a bit there
