Planning first ride after lockdown

In Vic we are still waiting for an end date for our no riding lock down. Thinking this could be a good first ride once we are allowed.

Yeah that looks pretty good, you will have to report back after you have done it. The missus & I did from Buninyong, Queencliff, Gembrook, Warburton, Marysville in a day then back home the next day 700klm on my t7 & that is awesome country over there.

A little worried about the muppets in 4WDs hitting the Noojee area - it gets pretty muddy with massive bog holes in winter.

From memory most of that is open gravel roads (or a little bitumen) and usually in good condition. Nice forest ride and the road to Mt Baw Baw is always fun.

Another couple of my favourite areas are Mt Worth State Park and through Jeeralang to Tarra Valley. Again nothing tricky, when its dry anyway.

Nice photo. I bet you done it a bit easier than your mate did. I will keep those 2 places you mentioned in mind for the next time I get down that way

Grand Ridge road is a nice ride. Explored most of it before lockdown. Tracks in the area get bloody slippery when wet.

Noojee ride done last weekend. Cut out the Neerim to Gembrook section and came back on the blacktop via Yarra Junction, but was still a solid 7 hours in the saddle. Nice mix of dirt roads and twin tracks with a little river crossing on Simpsons Road for good measure. Shame the weather not looking as good this weekend.

They actually banned riding until this shet is over? Seriously? Riding is social isolation.

Yes only allowed to ride to get food. Too far from home and they were dishing out $1600 fines.

Just over the closed border, only 1 virus case in 28 days, from overseas arrival.  The local government is  now ENCOURAGING regional travel within the state borders, just in time for winter.👍

Socially distancing the bikes. I sincerely hope that things settle down over the closed border soon.

That looks like a great route, definitely on my to-do list once I get my Tenere 😀

Is it safe to do it solo?

Nothing hard on this loop - you should be fine. There is a small river crossing that you may need to be careful if its been raining.
