Tenere 700 Scorpion Exhaust

Does anyone know if you have to mount a bike specific exhaust on a bike, or can an exhaust for another bike be fitted (with modification)?

 

I have a Scorpion Serket for a CB500X, and was wondering if I take the T7 to a muffler shop, maybe they can make a pipe to fit it. Just not sure if fueling will be affected. I like the red accents, and on the red/white bike it would look awesome, its also very light and small.

I already eyed this one up, as I agree it would look the best on our Red/White machines. There may be enough info on here to tell whether its a standard can or developed for the Tenere with different specs, size etc.

I did see that, thanks! It shows their larger parallel exhaust, not the serket one

 

A quick PS job seems to show it would work well (the Honda CB500X Version), may have to modifiy, or get a new pipe, i'm not sure what muffler shops would charge for that. It clears the swingarm which is nice, and a very light pipe, it also sounds great on the CBX, so I assume good on the T7. 

 

I see people using cheap Chinese exhausts, so thinking maybe this should be okay for fuelling, just don't know

I read somewhere in this forum that the Honda cb500x mid pipe fits the T7's. It's on page 6 in "Tenere 700 exhaust options and pictures"
