Posted June 7, 20205 yr Hi all, Got this bike after testing all supermoto bikes available on the market and some naked bikes. Wanted something tall and slim looking but with reliability as a priority. Testes husky 701 sm, Aprilia Dorsoduro 900, cb1000r and many more. Coming from a heavy 1200gs adventure all the bikes mentioned were considered light. One caught me immediately and that is the Tenere 700. Well we all now know how good it is in stock Form and how well it handles plus the gem of an engine with amazing sound. First mods where: throttle play reduction Lextek leavers adjustable for mt07. Pipewerx GP exhaust shorty not road legal. Loud but amazing. Link attached for Sound 👍🔊 Front sprocket is 16t to correct the loss in circumference, it now revs as standard. Powerbronze screen amazing no more buffeting. Rally seat is tall and comfortable but gives overall a much better feeling over the bike. 30mm SW motech risers. 17 inch wheels 😍😍 with other mods listed in the thread attached. GPS mount for Garmin 64s Then @Rich TT started a bloody thread about tenere 700 supermoto and I blame him 🤣🤣 lol.. For me putting this together... I always wanted to have a supermoto and this would have been a dream come through... Working for an engineering company and getting in touch with people on this forum and on adventure rider forum made me take the necessary steps to get here. Link on how to do it attached. After 3500 miles and 1500 miles on the supermoto setup I must say I am more than happy with the progress. Everything works and looks as standard apart from the fender but @AndyJ has mounted an Mt10 mudguard and that will be the next mod once I've figured out how to approach the brake lines. Handles a dream with the 90nm spring and with 17 inch wheels it is a true carving machine in the twisties... So much fun... 😁😁 My dream bike has come to life and this is all thanks to this forum and the community that surrounds us. Thank you all for the help provided... I will keep this updated as much as I can. Aleks
June 18, 20205 yr Author Front is now finished with r1 mudguard and it looks proper nice... Well pleased with this result. Looks standard now and makes the bike looks complete 🏍️💨📸👌🔥🔥🔥😍
July 10, 20205 yr Author New fork springs fitted today and the bike rides even better now with more confidence to push late braking as well as plush ride to take on harsh road surfaces... Very happy with how the numbers came out and how the bike behaves... 👍 Aleks

August 8, 20204 yr Author After a lot of faffing about and with @Rich TT help, we have found the best suspension setup with the bike so far. Max compression on the back minus 3 clicks and stock rebound, this has now settled the bike and it feels amazing... Front forks are 10mm below the triple and it handles a dream now... Waiting for steering damper and then quickshifter... Once those are in then I could improve the setup a bit but it is very very responsive now and it feels very good... Dare to say it is on par with 701 sm that I tested before I bought the t7... 🏍️💨👍💯🔥 Aleks
August 19, 20204 yr Author Steering damper should be here next week... It has been shipped now from Australia... 👍, can't wait for that to be on the bike.... It has been a slow process but the damper seems to have very good reviews... I will make a write up on how to install it... Hope to get the quickshifter at the same time and then install both of them together. Aleks
February 9, 20214 yr Author Gina will be getting an upgrade on the front brakes... We loose some weight and add some stopping power... Beringer 6 piston caliper with a new master cylinder and braided line... Hope we loose 2.5kg and gain some force... 👍 Updates coming later this month when the parts start flowing in. Aleks
April 4, 20214 yr Author Update on the the T700Sm build.... The brakes have been swapped over and the 6 piston calliper is in together with 320mm brembo front disc and the Gallespeed Master cylinder... Hands on hearth the best brakes I've every tried on a motorcyle.. Very strong and amazing feel... Could not be happier. Installation wasn't hard but bleeding the front was a pain, due to me being a noob and not checking before I started. I've bypassed the ABS pump and used it only to keep the speed sensors and the best thing about this is that the speedo works and ABS light stays off. Weight saving is a bit more than 3.0kg... I say more because I forgot to weigh the master cylinder and I know the new one is lighter... Had to swap the mirrors due to master cylinder not fitting under the handguards... This way it fits and I saved another 1kg.. I've addressed the issue that was bugging me for months...power : new pv3 flash and velocity stacks with air filter have been installed, map has been made by an mt07 forum member who runs the same intake and the bike is so much stronger now is not even possible to compare to stock. Another weight saving of 1.3kg as I lost the airbox. Bike is with a motorcycle shop at the moment to change the headers as I have managed to snap a stud... 👍🏼 😂... A new lextek end can will follow as the shorty one I have now it's going to be very loud. Enjoy the pictures.
April 20, 20214 yr Author Headers and exhaust have been on for the last 300 miles and I'm very happy with the looks and how the bike performs... Mapping has been done and it performs very well... The bike has so much torque and it pulls great all the way up to 10k. Next month dyno session to get everything measured and tuned properly. Aleks
April 24, 20214 yr Looks very smart bud. What’s it like on the open road with that screen? I accidentally bought the wrong screen from wrs (same size as original)🙄 so need to cut it down. Do you get buffeting or nice clean air like riding a naked? Was thinking of the mapping control stuff too, you got a link to the item/place you got it?

Was thinking of the mapping control stuff too, you got a link to the item/place you got it? Thanks for the kind words... Bike loves to carve in corners and it's very rapid now with the custom intake and the map. I've mapped it with a friend who has an mt07 with the same intake and headers, dyno session is booked for the 12th of May. I'll report back once it's gone through fine tuning on the dyno. The screen works for me so much better than stock but I'm tall and it's very subjective. No buffeting for me. Hope this helps. Aleks
