Extra headlight behind the windscreen?

Hi,

has anybody installed or considered to install an additional headlight behind the windscreen? Would it make too much reflections in the screen?

I assume, like you think yourself, that the reflection would be disturbing in the dark.

 

On my bike I used the SW-motec bracket and bought some diffusion lights. 96 m reach and wide angel. But if I where to do it again, I would probably have taken these (fits the bracket).

During nighttime riding you need your night vision - your eyes adapt to the darkness. Although the actual refelection from a lamp behind the wind screen may just be a few percent of the light output of the lamp, it will prevent your eyes adjusting to the dark. This basically means you'll actually see less with more light. The cockpit will be too bright and you won't see much of anything on the road in front of you.

 

I actually found the normal display to be a bit too bright to my liking while riding at night.

you can adjust the display's brightness. Page 4-10 in the manual, there are 6 levels of brightness.
