Problems with TWISTED THROTTLE order>

I Ordered Barkbuster handguards from Twisted Throttle because they were the only ones who had them in Blue.  When the shipment came the blue handguards were not in the package.  I called and they said: " they were out, and on back order."  I wish they would have been honest as the other dealers that said: " they were out!!! "  I am taking my business elsewhere!!

They are out in Canada also... they wanted me to pay then they would ship. Funny

Long time back during my Super Tenere era which I had Denali lights on it bought from them. One went bad and the ordeal to get a replacement on an advertised lifetime product soured my experience with them.

I've generally had poor experiences with TT myself.  I usually only tried to order something from them when they were the sole-source retailer in the US.  I learned that I was better off just ordering direct from Europe when I could.  Also SW Motech setting up a physical presence in the US (an hour from me!) this year helped.

I did order one of the new Kaoko Tenere throttle locks from them.  It arrived with a defect, and TT was more responsive than in the past in setting up the return.  So maybe they are getting better in some ways.  There were times in the past when it would take a week for someone to get back to me.

Most things I've ordered for the T7 the last couple months have been "in stock" on the order screen, but actually backordered.

I recently became in need of a new rotor. I checked a number of places based here in the U.S., but what I found was that despite their website showing it "in stock" on their website, the part was actually in-stock overseas. I learned a new term, cross-stock.

New bike  problems I guess.

Up until the last year I had good experiences with TT, but even before the pandemic ( everyone’s excuse now) starting in 2019, I haven’t gotten responses to support requests or they came weeks after I resolved the issue myself.  I will say that when I have gotten someone on the phone they have generally been helpful.
